Here is another space to post interesting links or ideas. I thought we could use this one for links to internet-based resources that might be useful for the course. For example, I’m going to post a link to the Thesaurus website that I showed you in class yesterday.
I think we all agree that this is quite an intensive course, so it will be really useful if we all help each other by sharing any useful resources that we find. So, if you see anything that you think might be useful to other people in the class, please post a link on here.
You might also want to post information about any articles, books, magazines etc. that you read, from the library or somewhere else. Like the “general links” posting, there are no rules. It’s entirely for all of you to use in any way that you think might be useful.
Unfortunately, I can’t find a way to put live links in the comments box, so you’ll have to copy and paste the links into your browser. It might be a good idea to create a folder for course-related links in your bookmarks folder. I can show you how to do this in class if you’re not sure.
THESAURUS.COM

Here is a link to the thesaurus site that I showed you yesterday in class. It also has a dictionary and a translator into all of your languages. Please remember to be careful of translations, and use them only to check your understanding. It is better to use the English dictionary and to search for examples of the words in sentences. Next week, I’ll show you another useful site to check how words are used in context.
SURREAL HOUSE

Here is a link to the Surreal House exhibition at the Barbican. There are a couple of links in pink text to other reviews, sites etc. concerning the exhibition. If anyone finds any other useful resources about the exhibition it would be useful to share them here.
SURREALISM ON WIKIPEDIA
Here is the link to the Wikipedia entry on Surrealism. You may find this useful, but don't feel that you have to read it, or that you have to read every word! It's just there in case you find it useful.

LOUISE BOURGEIOS AT THE TATE
As in my email, this artist, who featured at the exhibition, had her own exhibition at the Tate Modern last year. Only for interest really. You may like to look up other artists. You may not. Up to you!

Remember to share if you find any other useful links!
